Hello, readers! Welcome to another #5OnMyTBR update. The rule is relatively simple. I just have to pick five books from my to-be-read pile that fit the week’s theme.
This week’s theme: Foodie
This week’s prompt is about foodies, so I assume it is about foods. The first book that comes to mind is Laura Esquivel’s Like Water for Chocolates, a sumptuous work of literature. Another book that comes to mind is Banana Yoshimoto’s Kitchen and Charmaine Wilkerson’s Black Cake, one of my recent reads. Black Cake also dealt with the history of food migration and provenance, an interesting facet of the debut novel. Like last week’s topic, this week’s topic was quite a challenge but nonetheless, here are books about foodies and food that are currently on my reading list. Happy reading!
